Bones among seaweeds: it’s yellow in Marsala

Some bones that could be human were noticed yesterday morning (May 2, 2024) on the Posidonia benches in Marsala, washed ashore by the sea on the shores of Lungomare Boeo, near the playground, by a man walking with his dog. The alarm was raised, and the police, firefighters, and even military personnel arrived on the scene. The area was immediately cordoned off and prohibited to curious onlookers, allowing the police scientific team to start the necessary investigations to determine if the bones are human and to establish their age.
