Belmonte Mezzagno teen scolded and beaten by boy’s relatives

A thirteen-year-old boy targeted a 75-year-old man by throwing small objects at him while he was sitting on a bench in Belmonte Mezzagno, near Palermo. The elderly man scolded the boy, who reacted by punching him in the face. Shortly after, the boy’s family arrived and continued to beat the man on the ground, kicking and punching him, causing a fractured jaw and head trauma. The victim was taken to the hospital, and his daughter, who came to his aid, also suffered injuries. The incident is being investigated by the police. The mayor of Belmonte Mezzagno expressed his concern and sadness regarding the incident and emphasized that such behavior is not acceptable. The victim’s family filed a complaint with the police.
