Belmonte Mezzagno resident tries to bribe carabinieri to avoid fine: arrested

A 54-year-old man in Belmonte Mezzagno, Palermo, was arrested for attempting to bribe a carabinieri to avoid a fine. During a routine traffic stop, it was discovered that the man’s car was uninsured and overdue for inspection. In an attempt to avoid the penalties, the man placed a 50 euro banknote with the paperwork, but was promptly arrested by the carabinieri for attempted corruption.
