Assets worth three million euros confiscated from Corleone bosses

The Carabinieri of the Ros, with the provincial command of Palermo, executed two separate confiscation decrees from the Prevention Measures section of the Palermo court at the proposal of the Dda, in proceedings against Rosario Salvatore Lo Bue, his son Leoluca, and the deceased Calogero Lo Bue, considered to be members of the Cosa Nostra mafia in Corleone. The measures have definitively confiscated bank accounts, homes, land, insurance policies, business assets, and a warehouse, valued at over 3 million euros. Investigations were carried out through information from the revenue agency, traditional databases, and those used for illicit activities in the agri-food sector. It was found that Rosario and Leoluca Lo Bue operated in the agri-food and livestock sectors, benefiting from EU subsidies. Calogero Lo Bue’s declared income did not match the value of his assets, indicating he used illicit finances from his mafia affiliation. These actions add to the ongoing fight against the Corleone mafia, following previous investigations and confiscations. The confiscation also includes Calogero Lo Bue’s family home in Corleone, previously used as a mail address for Bernardo Provenzano, a former mafia boss.
