Nine individuals have been charged with aggravated robbery, extortion, drug trafficking, and attempted murder. The police executed a court order this morning, resulting in the arrest of six Italians and the placement of one person under house arrest, while two Albanians were also placed under house arrest. The investigation was triggered by the stabbing of one of the suspects last March, who was believed to be involved in a cocaine trafficking group. The suspects were also accused of robberies and assaults on drug dealers. Additionally, there were eight robberies, two extortions, and numerous incidents of cocaine trafficking reported between Perugia and Umbertide. The attempted murder occurred on March 24, 2023.
