Ricercata dopo una condanna per rapina e lesioni, arrestata a Catania

Italian carabinieri from the Radiomobile unit of Catania arrested a 44-year-old woman with a criminal record from Aci Sant’Antonio. She had been subject to a three-month arrest warrant issued by the district prosecutor’s office in Catania for a four-year sentence for robbery and aggravated assault committed in Viagrande on March 18, 2020.

During a street check by a patrol of Carabinieri, the woman, in an attempt to avoid identification, provided a false identity and claimed not to have any identification documents on her. However, her false identity was revealed to be non-existent after a database check. The woman was taken to the provincial command offices in Catania, where fingerprint comparisons confirmed her true identity.

The 44-year-old was subsequently arrested, taken to the Catania prison, and charged with providing false information to a public official.
