Another five landings in Lampedusa, 275 migrants arrived

Five landings, with a total of 275 migrants, starting from midnight in Lampedusa where, yesterday (15 March), within 24 hours, a total of 546 people arrived with 11 dinghies.

During the night, groups of 55, 58 (4 women and 3 minors), 34 (2 women and 5 minors), 78 (7 minors) and 50 (4 women and 3 minors) self-proclaimed Ivorians, Nigerians, Malaysians, Ghanaians, Gambians, Pakistanis, Egyptians, Bangladeshis, and Tunisians were rescued by coast guard and finance guard boats. The boats, all left adrift after the transfer of migrants, departed from Zuwara in Libya and Sfax in Tunisia.
