Andrea Diana named new coach of Trapani Sharks

The Trapani Shark has identified the new head coach of their team, after the dismissal of Daniele Parente, following a heavy defeat in the Italian Cup against Fortitudo Bologna. The Trapani team, which is currently in first place in the Green Group of Serie A-2 with a 10-point lead over the second placed team, will be led by Andrea Diana. Diana, a Livorno native born in 1975, is coming from his experience as assistant coach of Virtus Bologna, alongside Sergio Scariolo. Diana will join the team and sit on the bench for the Sunday match against Udine at the PalaShark at 6 pm. The President of Trapani Shark, Valerio Antonini, expressed his satisfaction with the choice of Diana as head coach and mentioned potential signings of an Italian playmaker, possibly Stefano Gentile, and a foreign player under the basket to strengthen the team.
