American tourist slips on Silvestri Craters of Mount Etna and fractures foot, rescued

In response to a call from the Central Operations of 118, technicians from the Sicilian Alpine and Speleological Rescue team intervened to rescue an injured American tourist on the side of Mount Etna. The tourist had allegedly fractured her left ankle and was immobilized and transported by stretcher to a nearby site, where she was then taken to the hospital by ambulance.
