Altavilla Massacre: Sabrina Fina ready to speak, denies being priestess of evil

Sabrina Fina and Massimo Carandente are said to have turned to prayer for comfort during the isolation they have been forced into since their arrest. In the Pagliarelli prison, they obtained a Bible to immerse themselves in reading the scriptures, and then reportedly asked for paper and pen to write down their thoughts. However, as reported by the Giornale di Sicilia two weeks ago, these notes were seized by prison officers and are now being examined by magistrates as they may contain information useful to the investigation. Giovanni Barreca and his seventeen-year-old daughter have accused the couple of the murders of his wife Antonella Salamone and their children Kevin and Emanuel aged 16 and 5.

The “brothers of God” continue to profess their innocence and are confident they can prove that they had nothing to do with the massacre at the horror villa in Altavilla Milicia. They have claimed to have left before the murders, blaming the former painter and the minor for the massacre. Sabrina has vehemently denied the accusation of being the instigator of the violence, with a message sent through her lawyer, Franco Critelli: “My client is not a priestess of evil and denies being some sort of mastermind of the crime scene: she believes that the various actions attributed to her are just speculations she is enduring, also through the media. She reiterates that she is not involved in the events, did not participate in any torture, and is ready to report what she knows to the competent authorities.”

A comprehensive report by Fabio Geraci in the Palermo edition of the Giornale di Sicilia out today.
