Agrigento fisherman missing at sea, doesn’t return from boat trip

There are hours of anguish in Agrigento for the disappearance at sea of a fisherman. His traces were lost yesterday, Friday, December 8, when he did not return home after a fishing trip. Worried family members went to the mooring area at the San Leone marina, but the boat was not there. They immediately raised the alarm and the coast guard of Porto Empedocle began to search for the five-meter fishing boat. The search stopped at night and resumed at dawn with two patrol boats and a helicopter. Fishermen from Agrigento also joined the search, along with the coast guard, to extend the search area. The sea in front of the Naro river in the San Leone area is being searched, and the fire department’s diving team from Palermo is inspecting the seabed in the area where the fisherman usually goes.
