Aeronautica helicopter rescues woman with leg fracture at Marettimo.
A search and rescue helicopter from the 82nd SAR Center of the Italian Air Force based in Trapani conducted a successful mission to rescue a woman with a suspected leg fracture on the island of Marettimo. Despite the challenging terrain and proximity to a cliff, an aerosoccorritore was lowered to the woman, who had already been stabilized by a local doctor. She was then airlifted and transported to the hospital in Trapani. The mission concluded at 22:30 local time, and the helicopter returned to base.
