Accident on Ponte Corleone causes traffic jams on Viale Regione Siciliana

An accident occurred on Corleone Bridge, on the ring road of Palermo, as cars were exiting the city. The collision between two cars happened around 2.30pm and caused heavy traffic for about two hours, with endless lines in both directions of Viale Regione Siciliana. The crash involved a Fiat Seicento and a Ford Focus, with damage to the cars but fortunately no serious injuries to the drivers, as confirmed by the medical team who quickly arrived at the scene. The municipal police’s Accident Investigation team was present to reconstruct the sequence of events and alleviate traffic issues. A team from Interventa company also arrived to remove the cars and restore road safety conditions.
