Firefighters intervene 12 times in waste fires in Palermo

The Zen district in Palermo was besieged by trash fires all night and into the morning. Firefighters worked for hours with several teams to combat the flames, carrying out 12 interventions. The streets where the garbage was set on fire are always the same: via Agesia di Siracusa, via Nicolò Pensabene, via Rocky Marciano and via Costante Girardengo, where intense smoke caused inconvenience to residents. In Zen, as in Borgo Nuovo, there are still piles of accumulated waste due to the protest of Rap workers that has slowed down collection.
