The 60-year-old entrepreneur Michele Angelo Licata from Marsala has definitively had his assets, estimated at around 127 million euros, confiscated for tax evasion. The confiscated assets include restaurants, hotels, cars, land, and bank accounts. Licata had been at the center of a lengthy investigation by the financial police and was finally sentenced to two and a half years in prison for tax fraud. The court also confirmed his conviction for money laundering and ordered confiscation of his assets.
