4 events to celebrate Ars Nova’s 50th anniversary, Sicilian association for chamber music promotion

The Sicilian association for the promotion of chamber music Ars Nova, which celebrates its fiftieth anniversary this year, is organizing two concert series with four events. The first two will feature piano music at Carini Castle, with a repeat performance by the same musicians at Palazzo Butera in Bagheria, and the other two will showcase jazz music at Tatum Art in Palermo.

The performers include pianists who are about to enter the professional artistic scene and pianists who have been practicing their profession internationally for years. The artistic director of the concert series is Claudio Gallina, and it is promoted in agreement with the Municipality of Carini in collaboration with the music association Bequadro of Bagheria and Significa Palermo ETS.

The first event is scheduled for Friday, October 25th at 7 pm (with a repeat performance the following day at 9 pm in Bagheria) featuring pianist Claudia Vento, with a program ranging from Beethoven to Chopin’s Nocturnes to Liszt’s Spanish Rhapsody.

The concert series will continue at Tatum Art from October 25th to December 31st, under the artistic direction of Toti Cannistraro. The performers on Friday, October 25th at 9 pm will be Chiara Minaldi with her Trio, and on Saturday, October 26th at 9 pm, it will be the trio of Giorgia Meli.
