Arrest in Gela for possession of drugs and modified toy weapon
The finance police officers of the provincial command in Caltanissetta have concluded an operation to counter drug trafficking in Gela, seizing a modified toy weapon, ammunition, and over 20 grams of cocaine. Following some reports from citizens about possible drug dealing activities in the Albani Roccella district of Gela, the officers of the Fiamme Gialle carried out specific checks, identifying a 23-year-old young man found in possession of 5 grams of cocaine.
The finance police officers then extended the control to the young man’s residences, discovering and seizing another 15 grams of cocaine, a modified toy pistol adapted for use with 7.65 caliber ammunition, as well as €3000 in cash, seized as proceeds of drug trafficking activity. The drug dealer has been arrested. The seized weapon will undergo technical examinations to verify its potential use in violent incidents.
