Agrigento Pirandello Theatre: From Opera to Jazz, New Season.
The Teatro Pirandello of Agrigento presents the new concert season, in collaboration with the Arturo Toscanini Conservatory of Ribera. The program includes a rich variety of events featuring internationally renowned artists and young talents from the conservatory, with a mix of musical genres ranging from opera to jazz, from classical to modern. The season will open on November 16 with Mozart’s famous Don Giovanni. On December 14, the ensemble of the department of new technologies and musical languages will present “Jazz with Mediterranean influences”, a concert that blends different musical traditions.
On December 20, Daria Biancardi will perform a captivating Christmas concert at the theater. The new year will kick off on January 11 with the great jazz musician Enrico Pieranunzi, who will perform with the Toscanini Big Band. On February 22, the stage of the Pirandello will host “Toscanini’s got talent”, a concert where the best soloists and the conservatory orchestra, under the direction of Alberto Maniaci, will showcase their talent. On March 29, the symphonic orchestra of the Vincenzo Bellini conservatory in Catania, directed by Epifanio Comis, will perform. Finally, on May 17, Roberto Cominati will interpret Rachmaninoff’s works in an unmissable evening.
Alessandro Patti, President of the Teatro Pirandello and Valle dei Templi Foundation of Agrigento, stated: “The Teatro Pirandello enriches its cultural offering by presenting the 2024-2025 concert season, created in collaboration with the Toscanini Conservatory of Ribera. Two important and prestigious cultural institutions, Teatro Pirandello on one side and Conservatorio Toscanini on the other, join forces, as already happened in the recent past. Thanks to a collaboration agreement, we have established a more substantial and articulated convention, which includes, among other things, the organization of this concert season.”
Patti added: “This is how the Teatro Pirandello and the Conservatorio Toscanini project themselves towards Agrigento 2025, with a diverse program that includes opera, classical music, jazz, and pop.
