35-year-old Agrigento man dies from Covid after AstraZeneca vaccine: compensation approved
The Ministry of Health has recognized the “causal link” between the administration of the anti-Covid 19 vaccine and the death of a 35-year-old man from Agrigento who had received the first dose of the AstraZeneca serum in April 2021. The man’s death, leaving behind a wife and three children, was caused by myocarditis ten days after the administration. The wife, assisted by lawyer Angelo Farruggia, has initiated the administrative process with the ministry for the recognition of a €100,000 compensation, which does not preclude initiating other legal compensation proceedings. “This is an important result that opens the way for the recognition of damages from the anti-Covid vaccination,” said lawyer Farruggia. “There are many people who have been harmed after receiving the vaccine and cannot get a definite diagnosis, so they are forced to undergo expensive specialist visits. The uncertainty of the diagnosis and the subsequent difficulties in establishing the causal link with the vaccine prevent them from accessing financial compensation. The recognition of the causal link also opens the way for compensation actions against vaccine manufacturers and, in my opinion,” concludes Farruggia, “also against the Ministry of Health.”
