Palermo: Federation between Mpa and Lagalla Civic Movement
The civic movement led by the mayor of Palermo, Roberto Lagalla, and the autonomists of Raffaele Lombardo together with Gianfranco Miccichè, confirming their belonging to the center-right coalition, intend to enhance their presence in the territories, institutions, and elective assemblies, with the concrete prospect of launching common lists for the upcoming local and regional elections. This was stated in a joint statement by Mpa and the Roberto Lagalla Civic Movement.
During a recent meeting between the mayor of Palermo, Roberto Lagalla, and the honorable Raffaele Lombardo and Gianfranco Miccichè, an interlocution was started on the possible strengthening of political action at the local and regional levels, with the aim of activating programmatic agreements on common interests such as the reform of local authorities, special and differentiated autonomy, environmental protection, healthcare, economic development, innovation, and the formation of a new leadership class inspired by competence and transparency.
Mpa and the Lagalla Movement announce that soon the first conference of the Federation will be held in Palermo, followed by other similar meetings in the main cities and localities of Sicily. The federation is open to the contribution of mayors, administrators, and civic movements.
