University of Palermo establishes chair in Healthcare Company Management
The University of Palermo has established, at the School of Medicine and Surgery, the first chair in Sicily in Healthcare Management, led by Federico Cosenz (pictured), full professor of Business Economics and delegate of the rector for the management and performance evaluation system of the University.
“This is a milestone – comments UniPa rector, Massimo Midiri – that highlights the leadership role that our University intends to assume in the field of research and advanced training in Southern Italy. We are convinced that this new chair will contribute to training a new generation of professionals who can combine medical and managerial skills, strengthening the dialogue between the academic world and healthcare companies, both public and private.”
“The School of Medicine and Surgery, thanks to this new chair, positions itself as a reference point for the training of experts capable of managing healthcare resources effectively, efficiently, and economically in an increasingly dynamic and complex context – says the president of the School of Medicine and Surgery, Marcello Ciaccio. The research produced in this field will not only improve the performance of healthcare companies but also ensure optimal resource management for the benefit of the entire community, the territory, and the national healthcare system.”
