Red bench dedicated to Lia Pipitone and Rosanna Lisa Siciliano vandalized in Montepellegrino neighborhood, Palermo
A red bench dedicated to Lia Pipitone and Lisa Siciliano, placed by the Millecolori Onlus association and the eighth district of the Municipality of Palermo on the anniversary of Lia Pipitone’s murder, was uprooted and abandoned on the streets of Montepellegrino neighborhood in Palermo. The responsible of Millecolori Onlus and Lia Pipitone Antiviolence Center Adriana Argento learned about the incident and reported it to the Carabinieri. The bench will be repositioned in the coming days. The Millecolori Association and the Eighth District aim to send a positive message to the youth and raise awareness about the increasing social issues. Adriana Argento expressed her disappointment and determination to continue working with the youth to promote respect and civil behavior. Marcello Longo, president of the eighth district of Palermo, highlighted the importance of immediate action against acts of vandalism and the promotion of a culture of respect for the community.
