Multiple assaults on healthcare workers in Palermo, Italy, including one at Brain Hospital.

Explain the following article briefly:

“In the span of a couple of days, there were two attacks in two different hospitals in Palermo, seemingly by the same individuals. This incredible incident in Sicilian healthcare is now being reported by the Nurses’ Union in Palermo, who are calling for zero tolerance to combat these unjustifiable acts of violence. A family went to the Children’s Hospital emergency room to accompany a young patient, but due to lack of space, they were directed to the Cervello Hospital. The parents refused and went to the Civico Hospital instead. When they couldn’t find a bed at Civico, the mother became enraged, hitting a nurse in the face and breaking his glasses. The police were called and escorted the child to Cervello, where he was admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit. The same parents were involved in a second violent incident the following afternoon, attacking a nurse for trivial reasons. The Palermo Nurses’ Union denounces these incidents as proof of a sense of complete impunity in hospital attacks, and calls for zero tolerance measures to be taken.”

L’aggressione all’infermiera del Cervello non fu l’unica, i genitori del neonato picchiarono pure un sanitario al Civico di Palermo
