Woman dies in Campobello di Mazara after truck collides with motorbike loaded with watermelons
Explanation:
A woman died in an accident that occurred on the provincial road 51 Campobello di Mazara-Torretta Granitola, at the height of the road leading to the Kartibubbo tourist village. The woman was on board a three-wheeler loaded with watermelons and driven by her nephew.
From a first reconstruction, the vehicle would have made a risky maneuver and was dragged for several tens of meters by a truck traveling in its lane towards Tre Fontane. The woman died on the spot, while the nephew was rescued by the 118 operators and transported, in very serious condition, by helicopter to Palermo. The municipal police of Campobello and the carabinieri intervened on the spot.
