Young woman sentenced to 10 years for drug trafficking, arrested in Augusta

The Carabinieri of the Augusta station arrested a 33-year-old woman from the area following an order of imprisonment issued by the Court of Appeal of Messina. The woman was found guilty of being part of a criminal association aimed at the production and trafficking of narcotics, a crime committed in 2017 in Catania. The 33-year-old, who was already under house arrest, will have to serve the remaining sentence of 10 years and 2 months in prison. After the formalities, she was transferred to the Catania Piazza Lanza penitentiary, as ordered by the judicial authority.
