Palermo: 6 young people caught trying to steal scooters from police officers
Six young people aged between 14 and 19 have been reported to the police in Palermo for attempting to steal, along with two accomplices who managed to escape, two motorbikes owned by two officers – a Honda Sh and a Kawasaki Z750 – that were parked in front of the Oreto Stazione police station. They are facing charges of aggravated theft in conspiracy and possession of tools for breaking and entering.
It happened on via Genova, a side street of the central via Roma. The officers noticed the attempted theft from camera footage and intervened, managing to apprehend the six young people, who were then handed over to their parents. Investigations are ongoing through the analysis of surveillance cameras in the area to identify the two accomplices who managed to escape.
