Worker injured as mini excavator overturns on Agrigento-Palermo railway line

An accident occurred at work on the Agrigento-Palermo railway line. A man was injured as a result of the overturning of the mini excavator he was driving along the railway tracks, where maintenance work is underway, in the territory of Agrigento. The incident took place in Contrada Minaga, near a supermarket.
The Carabinieri are handling the reconstruction of the accident dynamics. The worker, who was initially trapped in the cabin, is not believed to be in danger of life. He has already been transferred to the emergency room of the nearby San Giovanni di Dio hospital in Agrigento.
Traffic slowdowns were reported on the provincial road 15C at least until the injured man was transferred to the hospital. The traffic was managed by the Carabinieri.
