Three days in Cefalù: enjoying delicious pizza and shows

In Cefalù a big celebration is being held to celebrate pizza: a whole weekend that is also an opportunity to savor the summer, the beautiful beach, the streets of the historic center and the extraordinary Cathedral with its mosaics that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and protected by UNESCO. Neapolitan and Cefalù pizzaioli will work together to consecrate a food that has become an intangible UNESCO heritage: pizza.

From 14th to 16th June, the first Cefalù Pizza Fest will take place at Lungomare Giardina, an event that combines gastronomy and music and is one of the most anticipated of the year. The festival is organized by the Demetra association in collaboration with the Municipality of Cefalù and the Neapolitan pizza makers academy and is part of the national tour “Not Only Pizza tour”.

The event will have 15 stations managed by local pizzaioli and renowned Neapolitan masters from the Academy of Neapolitan Pizzaioli (APP). This collaboration will ensure a wide variety of flavors, from the classic margherita to gourmet specialties influenced by Neapolitan and Sicilian traditions. The event will not only focus on classic pizza: there will also be stands dedicated to fried pizza and Sicilian and Neapolitan sweet specialties.

An entertainment area will host various shows that will make these three days even more lively and unforgettable. Among the evening events, Radio Time 90 Dance Show presents “We play the 90s”: it is scheduled for the evening of June 15th, starting at 10pm. On Sunday, DJ Tin Tarantino’s “Big Reunion” will take the stage.

Friday, June 14th
6:00 pm Opening of the Pizza Fest stands., Inauguration of the Pizza Fest and ribbon cutting. Sicilian local pizzerias, Neapolitan pizzerias with their specialties will be present. Itinerant musical entertainment with Sicilian and Neapolitan groups. 10:00 pm Schizzechea Band – Pino Daniele Tribute

Saturday, June 15th

Sunday, June 16th

During the event there will be street artists, performances, animation and entertainment with Roby D’Antoni.
