A total of 696 migrants arrived overnight in Lampedusa, Italy. Fourteen small boats, carrying a minimum of 27 and a maximum of 133 people, were intercepted or rescued in the waters near the island. Yesterday, 1,292 migrants arrived on the island with 26 different boats. Despite continuous transfers ordered by the Police Headquarters of Agrigento, there were still 2,069 migrants at the Contrada Imbriacola hotspot. 183 migrants will be escorted by the police to the Cossydra ferry, heading to Porto Empedocle. In the evening, another 200 people will leave Lampedusa on the Galaxy passenger ship.
