42 migrants intercepted aboard a small boat off the coast of Lampedusa


The article talks about a 7-meter boat that was found and rescued by the coast guard’s CP319 patrol boat during the night. On board were 42 Bengalis, Syrians, and Egyptians who had set sail from Libya. The migrants were transferred and the boat was left to drift. They were all taken to the Lampedusa hotspot where there are currently 234 guests.
