37-year-old man arrested for attempting to set fire to partner’s car in Grammichele

In Grammichele, in the province of Catania, the carabinieri arrested a 37-year-old man who, on the street, was yelling at his 39-year-old partner, threatening to set fire to her car while she was looking out the window of their home. The authorities intervened after receiving several reports. Upon the arrival of the carabinieri, the man struck the car with several punches, breaking the left rear window. He then insulted and threatened the carabinieri. Despite being restrained, he continued to show signs of agitation throughout the journey to the barracks and, upon arrival, was examined by medical personnel. The man was taken to Caltagirone prison.
