26-year-old Palermo carabiniere dies in accident on highway to Messina

A 26-year-old carabiniere, originally from Palermo, died in a collision between a car and a truck on the A20 Palermo-Messina motorway. The young military officer was traveling alone at the wheel of his own car. The accident occurred between Rocca di Caprileone and Brolo, near the Cipolla tunnel, heading towards Palermo. There is also one person seriously injured, who was taken to the hospital in Sant’Agata di Militello.

The fire brigade of Patti, the coroner, the highway police, the emergency medical service, and the duty magistrate intervened.
