14 individuals convicted for organized drug trafficking in Siracusa, including names

The judge of the Court of Catania has issued 14 convictions at the end of the trial for criminal conspiracy aimed at drug trafficking stemming from Operation Santa Panagia by the mobile squad of Siracusa culminated in July of last year (2023) with the issuance of 16 precautionary measures.

These are the convictions: 14 years for Agostino Urso; 8 years for Pasqualino Urso; 7 years and 4 months for Manuel Pisano and Carmela Falco; 5 years and 4 months for Salvatrice Aglianò; 7 years and 4 months for Shaila Tringali; 10 years and 4 months for Marco Campisi; 5 years and 4 months for Concetto Urso; one year and 8 months for Giuseppe Bronte; 1 year and 4 months for Calogero Benigno, acquitted for one charge; one year and 4 months for Vincenzo Davì; 3 years and 4 months for Emanuele Riani, a collaborator of justice; 4 years and 4 months for Michael Berardi; 2 years and six months for Alfredo Caruso.

The investigation revealed a flourishing and profitable drug dealing operation in Viale Santa Panagia, which, according to the police, is “connected to a real criminal organization dedicated to drug trafficking and the sale of narcotics.” According to the investigators’ thesis, the group used pushers who also worked night shifts, “to ensure drug users the possibility of buying narcotics at any time of the day, and whose logistical and operational base was identified inside the home of one of the main suspects.
