From March 21, the Comiso-Turin and Comiso-Verona flights will be operational. This expands Volotea’s offering in Sicily. The flights between Turin and Comiso and Verona-Comiso will operate twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays. By 2024, there will be 94 Italian destinations with these new routes. Volotea is adding Comiso airport to its Sicilian portfolio, joining Catania, Lampedusa, Palermo, and Pantelleria. The connection from Comiso to Verona will offer over 22,000 seats and 128 flights, while to Turin, there will be over 16,000 seats and 94 flights. This collaboration allows travelers in Sicily to easily reach the cities of Verona and Turin, while passengers from these two cities can consider visiting the stunning beaches of southern Sicily from the convenient Comiso airport. In the past, Comiso airport has been identified as an airport to be utilized more for passenger traffic, especially following the fire at Catania airport.
