“Why don’t you kill yourself, so I don’t have to do it…”, arrested in Catania after threats to ex

“Why don’t you kill yourself, so I don’t have to do it… I want you dead”: this is the message sent by a 24-year-old man to his ex-girlfriend who had left him and did not want to rekindle their relationship. After the victim’s report, the man was arrested and placed under house arrest for stalking by the Carabinieri of the Catania Piazza Dante station. An arrest order was also issued against him by the investigating judge at the request of the Catania prosecutor, which also includes the use of an electronic bracelet for the suspect.

The harassing behavior allegedly began when, after nine months of dating, the girl decided to end their relationship due to the verbal abuse she suffered. However, the 24-year-old, not accepting the decision, reportedly began sending threatening messages to her phone, forcing her to block his contact: “If I see you, I’ll do something you won’t forget, who are you to block me?” he allegedly said. The man also allegedly tried to involve two influencers to whom he asked to disclose the ex’s phone number online, but above all, he allegedly expressed his intention to kill her: “Hi, spread my ex’s number; then when I have my scooter back, I’ll go get her and kill her.” And when the public figure replied that he couldn’t do such a thing, he reportedly insisted: “Yes, I can, she’s my ex and no one will stop me. I won’t give up until I kill her.”
