Salvatore Barbagallo, 33 years old, from Torrenova, passed away this morning at Villa Sofia hospital in Palermo due to a road accident that occurred on the seafront of Sant’Agata Militello on Sunday night. His family has authorized the donation of his organs. The young man, riding a moped, lost control and crashed on the road. After being taken to the emergency room in Sant’Agata Militello, he was transferred to Palermo for urgent surgery. The exact cause of the accident, which took place near Villa Falcone e Borsellino, is still under investigation by the local police. It is suspected that the young man may have lost control and crashed onto the pavement after colliding with the fences of a construction site where maintenance work was being carried out on the power line along that stretch of the coast.
