Police and carabinieri are investigating to find out who is shooting with a gas pistol at passersby in the Ballarò market in Palermo. Three victims were reportedly injured in the shoulder or legs. The latest was a man injured in the legs. A Senegalese woman was also hit in the shoulder in the Porta Sant’Agata area. The shootings all occurred in the streets of the Albergheria-Ballarò neighborhood. It is not clear if there is a connection between the targets or if they are randomly chosen. “They shot me in the night between Friday and Saturday – said the latest victim – and they hit me in the leg. I felt something and then I saw the hole in my leg. I think there are more injured, at least six.”
