Lipari, ferry Nerea freed after maritime accident

Explain in brief the following article

After 12 days, the prosecutor’s office of Barcelona released the ferry Nerea of Siremar, which had been stuck in the dock of Sottomonastero, in Lipari, due to an incident that occurred at sea. The ship was docking in Salina when strong gusts of wind caused a rope to get caught under the hatch and, when cut, it crashed into the foot of the unfortunate sailor, who was seriously injured and airlifted to the hospital in Messina for treatment. The new ferry was providing excellent connections and the sudden stop caused inconvenience. Two days ago, in Lipari, tourist and business operators staged a peaceful protest demanding the release of the ferry or the deployment of another one. Today, the Nerea is ready to resume connections to and from Milazzo for the joy of islanders and tourists. However, the Aeolians are still waiting for the release of three former Ngi ships blocked for a year by the prosecutor’s office of Messina. The new company Caronte & Tourist assures that they have been brought up to standard.
