The article describes the ceremony of the delivery of the honors of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic at the Politeama Theater in Palermo, on the occasion of the Republic Day. Among the 25 recipients is Tina Montinaro, wife of the agent Antonio Montinaro, head of the security detail of the judge Giovanni Falcone, who died in the bombing of Capaci on May 23, 1992. Montinaro, who through her association Quarto Savona 15, promotes legality, has been awarded the title of Knight of Merit. During the ceremony, students who won the competition “Freedom of the Press and Culture of Legality” were also awarded. The ceremony included the performance of the Italian national anthem and the awards presented to various individuals from different professions.
