The article discusses the relationship between knowledge, science, and consciousness, the practical applications, unjustified fears, and excessive hopes regarding artificial intelligence. It argues that artificial intelligence will not lead to a world controlled by robots, but that humans will always be at the center of technological development and will improve the quality of life. The conclusions were drawn from a lecture in Catania on the topic of “The faces of logos between theory and concrete applications in relation to the issues of artificial intelligence.” The event was organized by Futurlab and Compagnia delle Opere Sicilia, and featured speakers from various professional backgrounds. The meeting was moderated by journalist Daniele Lo Porto and included the active participation of students from university associations and high schools in Catania, who posed questions to the speakers.
