Explain to me the following article

Another young life cut short too soon. Tommaso Di Giacomo, a 22-year-old boy from Carini, died in a car accident on the state road 187, at the junction leading to Buseto Palizzolo, near the gas station. Tommy, as his friends called him, was driving a Peugeot 3008 when the car he was driving collided with a Panda, driven by a woman coming from a side street, and then crashed into a light pole. In the impact, the young man died instantly, with the rescue efforts being futile.

The news quickly spread on social media, with his friends posting dozens of messages in his memory. “A very good boy, I am speechless,” writes Tommaso on Facebook. “I am shocked, I have no words,” says Simona. “Another life cut short too soon,” writes Angela. “Tommy, may the earth be light on you,” writes Erika.

The boy, born in Palermo, had attended the technical commercial institute Vilfredo Pareto in the Sicilian capital before moving to Carini. His body is currently in the cemetery of Buseto Palizzolo, awaiting repatriation.
