Car accident in the center of Vittoria. In the collision between two cars that occurred in via Magenta, a few meters from Piazza del Popolo, the drivers were injured: one of the two was transported with a red code to the hospital, the other suffered less serious injuries. The impact was so violent that it reduced the two vehicles to a tangle of wreckage.
When the alarm was raised, the local fire brigade arrived on the scene to extract the two trapped injured from the cars. The 118 health workers also intervened on the scene and transported both to the emergency room of the Guzzardi hospital. Investigations are ongoing to reconstruct the dynamics of the crash.
Just ten days ago, another accident occurred in the territory of Vittoria: on Provincial Road 17 leading to Scoglitti, Lisa Rosso, forty-seven years old, lost her life. In that case, the collision occurred between two Fiat Pandas and there was nothing to be done for the woman, a mother of two children: attempts to resuscitate her by the 118 proved futile. The woman driving the other car, a 44-year-old, was instead injured and hospitalized at the Guzzardi hospital in Vittoria, and discharged after a few hours.
