Share Books on the carabinieri as a gift to the Giufà library, the only one present at Zen. The delivery of the illustrated texts and some comics, published by the weapon, took place yesterday during the Zen Book Festival. It was actually carried out by Davide De Novellis, commander of the San Filippo Neri station, who for years has been engaged not only in combating illegality but also in the social recovery of that area of the city. “The donation of children’s books by the carabinieri station of San Filippo Neri is part – explain the provincial command – in the important work of proximity to citizens, also through an ever greater participation in initiatives deemed strategic to reaffirm the presence of the weapon in historically critical areas of the city. A concrete proximity to those social, religious initiatives and those coming from the world of associations aimed at the groups to be protected more than the crime phenomenon “. The books were delivered to Mariangela Di Gangi, president of the Zen Insieme association and director of the specialized library which, with its 8,000 texts, represents a point of reference for children and young people of Zen. “Our ‘core business’ – continue the carabinieri – remains the prevention of illegality and the fight against organized crime, but participation in this type of absolutely commendable initiatives allows us to carry out a parallel action, equally important, in support of ‘culture of legality’ and social commitment in the territories that have always seen the soldiers of the stations deployed in the ‘front line’. This symbolic donation of children’s books to the Giufà library takes place precisely with this spirit of closeness and support “. It is the intention of the Provincial Carabinieri Command to replicate the same initiative in the future for the other libraries for children in the Kalsa, Albergheria and Brancaccio districts.
