Young driver facing trial for accident that killed 29-year-old baker in Modica
The young driver who caused the accident in which 29-year-old Riccardo Nigro from Modica died will stand trial for vehicular manslaughter. The accident occurred on September 14th of last year, when G.G’s Ford Ka collided with the Triumph Triple driven by Nigro. Following the preliminary investigations, the prosecutor requested a trial for the young driver, and the hearing has been set for February 8th. Nigro’s family, supported by Studio3A-Valore S.p.A. and assisted by lawyer Alfredo Vinciguerra, is seeking justice and wants to shed light on the incident that took Riccardo’s life. Despite being compensated by the driver’s insurance company, they are still waiting for justice. It is alleged that the young driver failed to yield, turning left into a private property just as the victim’s motorcycle was approaching, leaving Nigro no chance to avoid the impact. Nigro ended up on the hood of the car, then was thrown eleven meters away into a field, where he was found in critical condition.
