Workplace incident at San Filippo del Mela, two workers in hospital

Two workers were hospitalized this morning at the Milazzo hospital after falling from the scaffolding set up for the renovation work of the former elementary school in Piazza Fulci, in San Filippo del Mela, which is supposed to become a multipurpose center. The accident, yet another workplace incident, occurred around 9am. According to the carabinieri of the Milazzo station, who are investigating the incident, the workers were taken to the Fogliani hospital in Milazzo, one in critical condition, with a reserved prognosis. Mayor Gianni Pino personally went to the scene with a patrol of municipal police to assess the situation. Ongoing investigations.
