A 58-year-old woman in Palermo was injured when a tool fell and hit her in the face while she was waiting to undergo an Angio Tac examination at a laboratory in the lower floor of the Noto-Pasqualino clinic on Via Dante. The impact caused two fractures and detachment of the lens in her left eye, possibly resulting in permanent damage to her vision. The woman was transferred to the hospital, and the police are investigating the incident. The clinic stated that the accident was caused by the activities of an external company hired by the building owner, and the clinic is only a tenant of the premises. They expressed their regret for the incident and wish the woman a speedy recovery.
