The community of Campofelice di Roccella mourns another death at work. Giovanni Terrana, 64, fell from a scaffold and died early this morning. He leaves behind a wife and three children. Two of them were with him at the construction site and witnessed their father’s death. Medical personnel tried to revive him for over an hour but unfortunately were unable to save him. Terrana was carrying out renovation works on a building when he lost his balance and fell 5 meters. It is likely that a heart attack caused his death. His body has been transferred for an autopsy to determine the cause of death. The mayor of Campofelice, Giuseppe Di Maggio, announced that the day of the funeral will be a day of mourning for the city. The Terrana family is being assisted by lawyer Giulio Giardina, who described the worker as a good and beloved person by all. He referred to him as a “golden person.” The incident is being investigated by the prosecutor’s office in Termini Imerese.
