The exact cause of the death of Federica Borrometi, a 44-year-old woman who arrived at the Giovanni Paolo II hospital in Ragusa with a tooth abscess and underwent a CT scan, is still unclear. Her family filed a detailed complaint and her body has been made available to the judicial authorities. The local health authority (ASP) has announced that a diagnostic check will be carried out on the body on July 7th, as requested by the head of the emergency department, but an autopsy ordered by the Public Prosecutor’s Office is expected to take precedence. An internal investigation has been launched to determine what exactly happened.
