Woman arrested in Augusta for possession of cocaine and precision scale

In the course of a police operation aimed at combating the sale and consumption of drugs in the area of Augusta, officers from the police station arrested a 50-year-old woman, already known to the authorities, for the crime of drug possession with intent to distribute.

Investigators had noticed that the woman had started a thriving drug dealing activity at her home, with a suspicious traffic of people. Therefore, after careful observations, the police officers saw the woman driving home at high speed in a visibly nervous state.

The investigators decided to intervene and stop the fifty-year-old woman, finding her in possession of 20 grams of cocaine and the sum of 340 euros, likely proceeds from drug dealing. Following a subsequent home search, a precision scale and various materials used for packaging the drugs were found and seized. The woman has been placed under house arrest.
