Wildfires in Sicily claim two lives: a woman in Cefalù and a man between Trappeto and Balestrate

A 42-year-old woman died while trying to rescue horses from a burning stable in Sala Verde, near Cefalù, Italy. Her body was found near the highway, and it is unclear whether she died from smoke inhalation or burns. In a separate incident, a man died in Trappeto during the evacuation of homes affected by a fire. The cause of his death is uncertain, but there were no signs of burns on his body. The man was identified as Salvatore Albano, 68 years old. The investigations are being conducted by the local police.
